 ANDI Donut Holes

Source: Miss Roben’s

Ingredients:

1 package small ANDI Wunderbread mix

Bland tasting cooking oil (e.g. safflower, melted Spectrum shortening, etc)

Candy thermometer

Optional-powdered/confectioner’s sugar, cinnamon, cocoa, chocolate or sprinkles.

 

Instructions:

1.   In wide, deep pan or fryer, heat up at least 2” of oil to 375 °F (make sure oil is hot enough so donuts don’t get greasy).  Prepare mix according to directions. 

2.  Once oil is hot enough, carefully drop about 2 Tbsp dough into the hot oil. 

3.  Turn donuts once to brown both sides. 

4.  Remove with tongs & drain on paper towels.  

 

*Optional-while still warm, sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar, cinnamon, cocoa, or mixture; or roll cooled holes in melted chocolate; or inject with jam.
