              Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. sausage ( pork or italian)
1 large onion
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cans tomato paste ( 6 oz each can)
then using these cans use 3 to 6 cans of water
1 Tbsp garlic salt
1/2 cup sugar ( I used the Xylitol sweetner)
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp sweet (or plain) basil leaves
1/2 tsp fe nnel seed
optional is 2 cans of mushrooms ( 9 oz total)
salt to taste

Brown meat and onion, add garlic salt to taste. Drain. Add remaining ingredients.  Cook slowly for about two hours or more (longer makes better taste). Ocassionally add water as needed.

This recipe is very simple to make on the stove or preferably in the crock pot.
