                     Maple Bars  

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup sifted gluten free flour
1/2 cup soft shortening (or margarine)
1 cup nutmeats
1 cup rolled quinoa (quinoa flakes)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg

 
Instructions:

1.   Preheat oven to 350 F.
2.  Grease a square pan, 8 x 8 inches.
3.  Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Spread in prepared pan.
4.  Bake 30-35 minutes.
5.  Cut into squares while still warm.
