 Wild Rice Milk or Cream

Ingredients:

1 cup wild rice
16 cups water

Instructions:

1.   Cook wild rice in 5-6 cups water until soggy, 1  1/4 to 1  1/2 hours.

2.  Working in batches, put wild rice and water in blender and blend until wild rice is small pieces.

3.   Line collander with cheesecloth, pour liquid through, squeezing to get most of the starch through.

4.   Mix with additional water to desired richness, adding sugar and vanilla to taste, if desired.
