Pickled Beets

1 stick cinnamon
1 tsp whole allspice
6 whole cloves
1 pt. white vinegar (I use cider vinegar)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar

Boil, cool, and add cooked beets. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for at least 24 hours. You could also use this recipe for pickled eggs once you've removed the beets, place the peeled, boiled eggs in  the red juice and let marinate in the frige for 24 hours.
