Turkey Tetrazinni Source: Angela Lowry, GFCF Recipes, yahoo groups 8 ounces gluten free noodles 3 Tbsp margarine 2 tsp salt 6 Tbsp gluten free flour 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp celery salt 2 cups chicken stock 1/2 cup dry sherry optional 6 oz can sliced mushrooms 1 cup milk substitute 1/2 cup slivered almonds toasted 3 cups cooked turkey or chicken pieces 1/2 cup grated soymage cheese 3 tablespoons minced parsley Cook noodles (we use wide lasagna noodles) according to package directions; drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.In small
saucepan, melt margarine. Add salt and flour; blend. Add pepper, celery salt and stock. Cook over low heat until thickened.
Add sherry if using, mushrooms, milk and almonds. In greased 2 qt casserole alternate layersof noodles, turkey and sauce.
Top with cheese and parsley. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. |
