 Applesauce Cake

Source: Betty Crocker, adapted to gluten free by Barbara Emch

Ingredients:

Combine with wire wisk:

2 1/2 cups gluten free flour mixture

1 1/2 tsp soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp cloves

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or allspice

Cream:

1/2 cup oil

1 3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1  1/2 cups applesauce

Instructions:

1.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2.  Mix dry ingredients with creamed ingredients, beat well, and pour into 13 x 9 x 2 pan sprayed with cooking spray or two 9 inch cake pans.

3.  Bake for 60-65 min for oblong and 50-55 for cake pans or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.

4.  Frost with desired frosting or dust with powdered sugar.
