Fruit Pudding Cake

1 package Miss Roben's white or yellow cake mix

16 ounces canned or fresh fruit, drain approximately 1/2 the liquid

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Prepare mix according to package directions.  Transfer cake batter into a greased cake pan.  Spoon fruit over top of cake batter. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean..

To use fresh fruit:

approximately 16 ounces fresh fruit, cleaned

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar and fruit.  Bring to boil over high heat, stirring frequently.  Spoon fruit and juice mixture onto top of cake batter. Follow above instructions to prepare cake.
