 Almost Molasses Candy

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

1 cup dark corn syrup or cane syrup

4 tsp baking soda

Instructions:

1.  Combine sugar and syrup until just blended in a large saucepan.

2.  Attach candy thermometer and cook over medium heat until 305 degrees.

3.  Remove from heat and quickly stir in the 4 tsp. baking soda.

4.  The mixture will expand and puff.

5.  Quickly transfer mixture into a 9x 13 greased pan, allow to cool 30 minutes.

6.  Tap with knife when cooled to break it up into pieces.
